The gardens of Aeoliah        Chapter 19

Chapitre 19

Summary, until today.

Patiently, the inhabitants of the island of Lioureline had waited until the underground tensions of the oceanic foundations were definitively released.

And that day had come.

The third volcano had thundered several times, finally edifying the third and last part of the island, larger than the first, a group of rocky hills separated by two narrow and curved sea canyons. The highest of these hills was bringing a counterpart to the cone of the second volcano, less elevated, but more voluminous. Plumes of fumaroles would last another century or two. It had been the last eruption, and in an apotheosis it had sprinkled the whole island with yellow ash, very fertile, allowing the grass to already green the new rocky hills.

On the planet Earth, Indian America, at its peak, saw the white sails of those who, tragically mistake, they took for their guides; Japan matured its tradition. Europe was awakening from the Middle Ages, still stiff at all its joints; Tibet came into its golden age, India and China continued their millennial civilizations... And the stars were still sparkling, dispensing to all the hearts who wanted them their eternal message of Peace, Joy and Love...

For centuries, the inhabitants of the island were feeling the time ripening. For centuries they meditated on their future villages. They had to wait until the shiver of Aeoliah had passed, as well as the last eruptions, in order to build their great houses and temples safely.

What impatience! They were more than three thousand now, attracted by friends or laid here by birds. Sometimes young Eoli couples get on passing birds, without knowing where they go, and the arrival is always a divine surprise...

They had founded several villages, notably the ones of the lagoon, the small lake, and at the west of the island. But they could create only small single-family houses, either of bamboo or coconut fibre, the production of mortar being insufficient for so many houses at once. Several workshops had also been set up in lava caves.

The role of Lioureline was now different. She had given the note at the outset. The ancients knew it, showed it during their travels. The newcomers understood it quickly. They could manage it all without the foundress, she was no longer indispensable, especially as the Eolis are able to retransmit a vibration with great finesse and fidelity, even to the test of time. Then Lioureline had retired somewhat, with her close friends, to the top of the sacred mountain (the second volcano) and they had founded there a love of a small village... fairy, intimate and grandiose in the same time, in the green shadow of the tall trees. The dream of Lioureline...

Lioureline and Boronnée had completed their work as founders, and they now devoted themselves to the second part of their plan: to be the magicians, the energy sources. From their secret village, nestled in the heart of the valley, in the heart of the sacred forest, at the top of the second volcano, emanated a powerful and delicious pastel blue light, fragrant, magical, the heart of the egregore of their island ...

You would not recognize the sacred mountain: the desert of pink gravel had turned into a dense forest, green, lively and fresh, with already grandiose trees. With the vegetation came humidity, and with it humus, mushrooms, grass, moss…

The Liourelin and Boronney's glen, on the very top of the volcano, had become a lovely hollow shaped mead, open to the east, and surrounded with imposing tree trunks and foliage. What a fresh, enlivening and still solemn vibration! An opening in the trees, skilfully oriented eastward, allowed to contemplate the sunrise between branches standing out as if painted in china ink. At dawn the first beams filled the sacred glade with gold, at the very moment where was taking place (since some centuries already) the ceremony of the light… Ô grandiose feast, merging the awakening of the birds with the birth of the day, symphony of aerial and pure voices, reverberation in the foliages as in a living cathedral, marvellous songs that people comes to delight of, as from a rare thing that we must not disturb…

Since several days, the Eolis were getting ready. Their sense of danger enticed them to avoid several places, especially near the water. It is that they wanted to see, to be warned, if this happened during their sleep! And they had to host all their friends of the neighbouring islands, who also came to experience the spectacular event.

The day before, the great birds had assembled, bringing a few more guests. Then, in the evening, after a noisy gathering, they all left abruptly.

Our friends had spent the night together, on one of the gathering places, not far from a pagoda for astral journeys. From there they could be informed by the travellers of the spirit who continually relayed out. Countless tents had grown around for the guests.

In the morning, a tension settled: the hearts were beating, the words became serious and rare. The travellers of the astral all returned abruptly. The songbirds fell silent, and left the trees. Despite the urgent desire to fly too, the Eolis wanted to feel their island living and shuddering, perhaps for the last time.

It was very brief: in an indescribable underground rumbling, the rocks vibrated as under the charge of a colossal steam hammer. The trees groaned and swayed, some branches broke. The Eolis, subdued by the formidable embrace of the Earth, sighed, exclaimed.

Then they turned to the sea: waves were rushing in the creeks, with sheaves of foam and a strange crash (for this planet) which took several minutes to die out. The tension dropped; the birds started to sing again. For a long time, the Eolis still remained silent, meditating on the deep and pathetic vibrations of the living Earth, enjoying them, engraving the slightest shivering in their memory. It was only long afterwards that they spoke and laugh again, commenting on the event, excited and joyful!

There were only a few discreet aftershocks the following night. The deep base of their island had split open neatly, under the implacable shear of the transforming fault which passed to the Northwest. Now the play of this fault could happen more discreetly, in any case without risk for the Eoli's builds.

Aeoliah's shivers do little damage to the virgin nature, unless they are extremely violent, which is rare on this planet. But this one could still damage important buildings, notably the planned temples near the second lake or on the mountain. This is why they had refrained from building them. But the problem was no more arising now, and they were free to launch the vast cupolas, the minarets of lace, the marvellous palaces of the thousand and one nights, all decorated in blue and mauve... The island would be entirely a palace of the fairies!

But from the ocean could always come waves. For this reason the Eolis never build too close to the shore. Anyway the privileged beauty and poetry of sea landscapes makes of them sacred places, and this definitely excludes any banal building. Never the Eolis defile the rocks and beaches… But they bath, as much as us, with delight, completely naked, with all the poetry of their songs and tinkling laughers.

The village closest to the water what the one of the lagoon. The waves had swept above the lido, protected by its bamboo forest. The water of the lagoon, brown with silt, had swollen up to the first gardens; it recovered its initial level only two days later.

Even if the Aeoliah shiver did no real harm, the Eolis however know that everything has an end: erosion ends up to break the mountains, and the islands themselves disappear. And really most of them, after ten or twenty millions of years, are engulfed into the oceanic trenches where all the tectonic movements end up… Even if Aeoliah is a planet of duration, when Earth is a planet of cycles, nothing either is eternal. The Liourelin island will end up like the others, its mountains will go underwater, it will become an atoll, then it will be swallowed in a trench, will go under a continent, where its limestone will resurface through a volcano chimney, and thus will go back to the ocean to feed other corals, on other islands. Still later, the Aeoliah's sun will go extinct, and the planet will be no more than an obscure and frozen ball where the last volcanoes will glow alone, for still some billions years…

What will the Eolis become, in such a far away? Dispersed in the worlds of the spirit, they will know other greater Happiness, unless they choose to be reborn again on other planets, and even in other nascent universes, sowing everywhere the marvel that they have created on their idyllic world...

In any case, no Eoli would wait for so long to leave Aeoliah, and if the island already saw several dozen births, it also saw several departures, under the great shade of the sacred forest, in the hollow of a mysterious valley. By mutual agreement, no one ever goes there, except for that.

The first candidates for the journey had brought with them some «earth of the deads» gathered in another forest, thus sowing the valley with the special bacteria needed in this place.

Some departures are intimate and discreet; others are a moving ceremony: the whole island is silent in meditation. Escorted by a solemn procession of their last friends, joyful or a little nostalgic, couples aspiring to the incorporeal worlds go to the sacred forest. Some, to leave more easily, ate nothing for several days, which gives them a reddish complexion. After a last look, a last kiss to their friends, it is alone that they engage under the sacred canopy, with little meditative steps, or suddenly pressed by their ardent aspiration. They go to the valley of the deads, which is, we remember, one of the ancient craters on the summit of the mountain, a hollow enclosed on all sides. Having found a suitable place, they meditate until the evening, tasting one last time the gentle sensation of their wonderful bodies in this beautiful nature, attracting on them the protective angels in charge of departures... At dusk they clear a layer under the dead leaves, lie on the ground, naked, and pull other leaves over them until nothing is visible. Shivering in their wet bed, entwined forever, they fall asleep, leaving their bodies to, free and radiant, rise into space, adding their light to the planetary ring, then leaving, away of Aeoliah, for a baby body already ready on another even more beautiful planet, or for a paradise of the spirit, or for other worlds too, too abstract or too strange to say much of them...

These abandoned bodies quickly return to the general life of the earth, and all traces disappear in a few weeks.

The first time, only two or three Eolis observed a weak aura of light around the sacred mountain, the night after the departure. It then intensified a little more each time, and became visible to all, but more concentrated above the valley of the deads, as if a pale blue light was illuminating the sky from there, its source remaining invisible from below.

About departures and anything about it, the Eolis hardly speak among themselves, not any more than the other mysteries of life. They know that, assembled for a time in this wonderful game of Aeoliah, each one of them will one day continue his way to the Infinite, will experience another more vast Happiness, more beautiful, and other friends to share it with them, unless they just join back old ones... One day, the culmination of a long ripening or a sudden aspiration, they will want to leave...

But in any case it would not be before so many years...

On Earth, too, friend readers, there are methods for transferring our consciousness to a plane of pure light at the moment of death. It can work even if you have a bad karma. On the other hand, unlike the Eolis, who voluntarily decide their death, shortening our existence raises several serious problems for us, who already live too short...

As they grow older, the radiance of the Eolis, from childish becomes more serious, more deep. The second part of their lives sees them building new subtle bodies, preparing themselves for their future world, and other things of which I cannot speak. Some worlds even have antennas on Aeoliah, kinds of schools, to prepare their aspirants. (To my knowledge, there is nothing equivalent on Earth, or it is very secret) (...or very phoney: this is precisely what the collective suicide sects claim to do. An authentic school will never request you to abridge your human existence, which is far too precious.) When the Eolis feel ready, they gradually leave their former village companions; they retire with some friends, unless the later preceded or followed them. Then takes place the moving ceremony of the departure...

But it would not be before so many years, for our young friends in the village of Adenankar, that they were hardly thinking about it.

They had all their sweet happiness to live before.

The new island of Lioureline had changed a lot.

Of course in the first part, the trees had grown, and found their final size. The gardens, too, had grown to about a quarter of what had been planned. Everything was installed, and the result was of a stunning beauty. Life had become much more diverse, both in number of species and in styles, atmospheres and vibrations. White ducks had settled in the second lake, animated flowers among the white or blue water lilies...

In fact this first part, like the third one, would be a quiet area, of sweet peaceful villages nestled in delightful little corners. The true centre of the island would be the second part, with the great volcanic cone covered with its sacred forest, surrounded by large villages, especially the one of the lagoon, welcome centre and main activities, and the one of the second lake, more devoted to the Gardeners of the Souls. Indeed Boronnée and Lioureline had long ago transferred all their activities on their island.

All the slopes of the second volcano were reserved for deep meditation, and at its summit would be the temples and the school where Boronnée and some friends of his spiritual lineage would teach, while Lioureline would officiate, distributing to all her marvellous joy. After constructing a concrete paradise, Lioureline, on the advice of her gardener of the souls companion, would dedicate her gentle and feminine energy to helping newly incarnated Eolis to build a paradise in their hearts. Especially Lioureline and her friends, the Gardeners of the Souls and all the Eolis of the island, were considering very seriously at that time to accept in their villages the birth of beings coming from planets with evil, including of Earth. This is now done, and there are more than sixty! This has not been without difficulty, and some were close from going to the sacred valley of the departures... But everything could be arranged, and the beneficiaries now enjoy the same Happiness as all the other Eolis!

At the foot of the cone of the sacred mountain, gentler slopes join the sea, and end on adorable beaches. The forest descends until then, full of coconut trees and flowering trees, like the marvellous shores of the South Pacific, but with pink beaches!

This low forest is lined with villages, especially the lagoon and the second lake, vast dispersions of houses between temples and workshops, nestled among the gardens and fresh bushes with mysterious depths, shaded by some tall trees... On the lagoon side, the atmosphere is more pinewood and cork oak. Next to the second lake, it is more intense green, meadows with sensual undulations, constellated with myriad daisies, and in the background the thriving greenery of large trees, forest with mysterious depths ...

In the forest itself, some tiny villages nestle in marvellous little clearings, where they enjoy a miraculous silence, the incomparable freshness and tranquil vitality of the undergrowth.

The north of the island was still uninhabited and uncovered at the time of the great thrill, because of the still possible eruptions. First there was a small sandy plain covered with forests, or waiting to be, ending on adorable beaches. A little further, hills were climbing towards the third volcano, group of several small mountains surrounding two marvellous bays with ideally transparent water. The terrain here was varied, with beautiful ocher cliffs, steep rocks, pinnacles, sandy slopes... O, beautiful little villages to install! How sweet little Happiness to weave!

* * *

What became the island of Lioureline today, five centuries later?

Oh, it is beautiful... A jewel of greenery in its oceanic setting! Small delicate and perfumed paradise in a vastness of blue!

More than seventeen thousand inhabitants have joined it. If you are interested, friend reader, hurry: there is still some place left, but not for a very long time.

It is now entirely covered with exuberant greenery, flourishing vegetation, sown with wonderful flowers... and the happy smile of its inhabitants.

The volcanoes had manifested themselves only by a few fumaroles, or by episodic stirring in the ocean, towards the east, which the Eolis came to look from the top of their hills.

In the northern part, now sheltered from eruptions, grows a forest of small trees, clinging to cliffs, into cracks... Between shrubs and rocks with strange shapes, nestle adorable little flowery meadows, where innumerable birds run and fly. In turn they sing together, or they respect the Great Silence of nature. Everywhere there grows a surprising variety of trees, bushes, flowers and grasses, inhabited by a myriad of insects, but not crickets.

The Eolis did not really built villages here, but rather groups of houses, circles of friends, randomly distributed from the hollows of rocks, between gardens or around a workshop... The houses nestle discreetly at the edges, behind bushes, noticeable only with the fresh little laughter of the Eolis and the Eolines, or by the song of some pipe. The groups of houses are sufficiently distant from one another to allow between them enough spaces where one can meditate with only the sounds of nature... Most of these houses are balls, like certain African cases, made of coconut fibre, or other similar materials, in light and varied colours, resistant to rain and not turning grey over time. They are almost invisible in the beautiful nature, and yet this is where the Eolis are the most numerous. They could be three times more, without disturbing the sweet poetry of these fantastic rocks speckled with lichens, these cliffs plunging their feet into infinitely limpid water, the coral bottom unimaginably blue, constellated with pink or golden flowers...

Quite at the end of one of the two long bays, the old volcanic chimney, submerged, gaped in a deep chasm of a mysterious indigo. At times, the water there showed veins or opalescent spirals of millions of animalcules in suspension. Or water swirls indicate the presence of large fishes or other mysterious inhabitants of the deep sea.

In this part of the island, there are no large buildings, except for a few pagodas, on the summits, reserved for contemplation, or simply to make pretty. Even the workshops are discrete, or small.

Any terrestrial space probe, if it could arrive in orbit around Aeoliah, would not find there any trace of intelligent life... According to the criteria of our «modern» civilization!

However Lioureline's island is only one of these innumerable paradises among hundred of thousands, spread in the tropics, idyllic islands of the deep and marvellous Aeolian oceans…

The southern part of the island, that we discovered first, resembles the northern part, but softer, more flat, more resinous. It is also a place where life is sweet, quiet, in some large villages among rocks or nested in some lava caves…

Here grow a surprising variety of grasses and plants, small trees and some majestic umbrella pines. The powerful calm is outlined only by some birds, and we can hear the soft hiss of resinous trees in the sun, or the crack of dry herbs which let their seeds go. However this silence is very populated with gentle presences, the one visible of the Eolis, and others, invisible, but blue and marvellous…

When the Eolis and Eolines perform ceremonies or climb on the sacred mountain, they dress with large loose dresses, often ornamented with long ribbons of fuzzy cotton, in all the harmonies of blue, mauve or purple, like the houses, in a light vibration, high, spiritual, marvellous... But, as we are in the tropics, the weather is warm, and the inhabitants of the north and south as well wear only long skirts, or pareus in fuzzy non-waived cotton wires. And they go like that, the little breasts in the sun, with necklaces of large white pearls and braided hairs...

When we are approaching the sacred mountain, the vibration grows deeper, more intense, more beautiful...

All around, wonderful beaches of pink or golden sand adorn themselves with houses suspended in coconut trees, hidden among enormous clusters of flowers where flutter innumerable hummingbirds ...

In the lagoon, with its bamboo forests, its aquatic flowers, its labyrinth of gorse, sometimes appears a purple pagoda, against a background of green mountain, under an immensely blue sky ... Around the lagoon, or more to the North, lay tender villages with small blue or purple houses, nestled between bushes, in the shade of umbrella pines with harmonious branches...

In the second lake, with its marvellous little islands interconnected with delicate bridges, its ducks, its flowers, and its marvellously limpid water, always a few Eolis are bathing among joyous laughter, and others dry, their big robes stretched on the rocks...

And around the second lake, a large meadow, soft and fresh, of green velvet, strewn with a myriad of flowers, dotted with pagodas, seems to tell the path of a vast blue dome, nestled on the edge of the forest with deep shades. All around, under the first bushes, are nesting marvellous little blue houses...

Little by little, you enter the sacred forest.

It is at first a pretty wood, where resounds the calls of birds of all kinds, all more merry or melodious the one than the others... The trees are scattered and relatively small, mixed with bushes of all sizes and deliciously green, shadowing a network of fresh clearings of grass or green gardens. Houses have grown in small groups, or in suspended clusters, merry hamlets of happiness where resounds the laughter of the Eolines or the Eolis in their gardens.

There is a lot of variety of life here, with under each bush different mosses, seedlings or insects, especially kinds of ants that the Eolis like well. Let us think that for a little Eoli, an ant fills his hand! Other presences, invisible ones, radiate an intense aura of dark blue or turquoise, of a gravity that contrasts curiously with the leisure and merriness of the Eolis.

Farther on, on the first gentle slopes, at the foot of the ancient volcano, the sacred forest becomes a superb forest with fresh and mysterious intensely green depths, and marvellous little clearings between the bushes. Again small villages, but villages of silence this time, where one does not speak, where one sings only, where all day musicians take turns to the flute or to the harp... And always invisible presences, stronger and stronger, as we approach the heart of the mystery...

In the sacred forest there is... Oh! How poetic! Ah, how touching! What a pity that I cannot tell you everything, my readers! Oh la la la la!

Still higher, the forest is plain and large, uninhabited, at least not by the Eolis, except perhaps some platforms on the top of the trees, reserved for hermits. Here large centuries old trunks rise to prodigious heights… There are no more bushes, and the sloping ground is covered only with thick moss, strewn with small flowers and mushrooms. Dead leaves, which fall permanently from the evergreen trees, do not turn brown, they just dry up; so the undergrowth is always green. Anyway the moss quickly absorb the leaves, and after the rain the forestry undergrowth in entirely of a nice tender green scattered with flowers...

The high foliage sifts the light into mysterious shadows, sometimes crossed by stripes of golden sun, against a golden green background. From the canopy descend countless chirping and singing, sweet symphony blurred by the distance and echo, plus a slow but permanent rain of multicoloured flower petals, deliciously perfumed...

But more than the subtle and delicious fragrance of the moss, the humus and the flowers, here floats a more and more intense and moving vibration, as we approach the radiant Mystery...

At the very top of the island, the forest becomes impenetrable, full of enormous lianas, compact bushes, as if to discourage the curious visitor. At the top of the tallest trees, a few platforms overlook the whole island, and towards the infinite ocean horizons... There always are watchers there, day and night, who meditate and dream at their delicious paradise island. Some other islands are visible in the distance, especially the violet blob of the geodes island, and the island with the blue bananas.

Finally, in the heart of the marvellous valley of Lioureline, a gentle meadow sees every day emotional ceremonies, celebrations of universal and abundant life, magic of dances and singing, joy and emotion, symphony of colours and Aerial gestures ...

Around the prairie in hollow, at the foot of the great trees, in intimate bush recesses, nest the most beautiful blue village of the Gardeners of the Souls and their students, magical heart of the island, plus a dozen harmonious temples, devoted to the Universal Life, to the forest, to happiness, to poetry, to the stars... Gentle and powerful radiance which reflects on the island, on the ocean, to the skies... The Eolis of the villages, in small groups, take turns staying here, in the loving and sacred heart of their island, to serve the temples and the songs for the sunrise, and for them it is marvellous moments of Happiness, that they await with anticipation...

Of the sacred forest, they do not speak: it is a Mystery, and the true meaning of the word «Mystery» is what must vibrate only in the intimacy of the heart and soul...

Oh yes, it is beautiful, their island ...

Fairy? Wonderful? How else can we repeat these same words? It is so fairy, so wonderful...

Already visitors are passing, for one day or for one year, and they transmit the good news to all the Eolis continents: there is one more idyllic island on Aeoliah.

Among these visitors, Algenio and Liouna, Anthelm and his inseparable Elnadjine returned several times. Liouna and Anthelm were amazed at all the stages of the island's creation, the growth of forests, the successive arrival and harmonization of the different species of birds, plants, insects, fishes... Each newcomer tried his luck, and ended up finding a place in the sun among others, sometimes unexpected. Some of the first had to leave, their part completed. But do not worry, there is no shortage of new islands for them on Aeoliah, since at all times several hundred are still being created.

Our friends came back several times, admiring the marvellous harmonisations. And then Anthelm loves to find unknown little beasts in nature. His passion for ecology is less ardent, but more profound.

Adenankar and Milareva also visited Boronnée and Lioureline. It is that with the incarnations of ancient Earthlings, they had a lot of things to say to each other. At first, Boronnée was rather disoriented by certain paradoxical reactions of his protégés. Adenankar's experience was invaluable. Conversely, Boronnée better knew how to communicate Enthusiasm and joy, so once the greatest difficulties passed, his pupils emancipated themselves more quickly. But most of the collaboration between the two Gardeners of the Souls took place through Milareva, who, light as an idea, plays with the distances and the vast ocean.

Anthelm even saw her on the island, when Liouna, at the same time, spoke with her in the village... Error of date, or... They were never sure, as it was a matter of some minutes, they needed watches to know the exact time.

And then Milareva had let them put wires on her once, but not twice.

Strange Milareva, creature of whiteness, at times gentle Eoline, silent and so modest, pleasant confidant, and at other times sacred an mystical power, untouchable light...

Nellio never returned to the island. He prefers to remain in this kind of numbness, where time passes more quickly.

More quickly for him, as in the village, on the island, for our friends, a lot of things happened, and we would need hundreds of books like this one, to tell and describe everything.

Adenankar and his Souls Rescuers look at the sky, thinking at the Earth... They are worried and full of Hope in the same time. The Earth is increasingly on the edge of the knife, ready to tilt, towards happiness or towards darkness. And the edge of the knife is thinner and thinner... Yet the Earthly mankind continues its ambiguous path without deciding... How far will the Earthlings endure this ever-increasing tension? On which side will the equilibrium will end breaking? Will this happen as a sudden rupture, or by a gradual shift in the point of equilibrium of the forces? Will all the Earthlings be taken at a whole, or will some of them fail?

These are the mysteries which preoccupied our friends for several centuries. They witnessed the awakening of the «modern» materialistic civilization, its immoral economic system, then its implacable hegemony taking over the entire planet, its incredible genocide of cultures, vibrations, landscapes and spirits of the places... Grave situation, which makes the Cosmic Guardians frown heavily...

They had witnessed the expansion of techniques, which gives these humans ever more dreadful powers... Morality, in spite of also seeing some progress, could not follow this infernal rhythm: the relation power over morality was taking more and more dangerous values. The Earthlings had condemned themselves to take up the challenge, to increase their morality or to die under their own blows. What can the Gardeners of Souls do?

So Adenankar and his friends continued their patient work, saving crumb by crumb what they could save. More than two hundred former Earthlings, freed from the weight of their defects, freed from the limits whom they had imposed to themselves, were able to be reborn in the neighbouring villages of our friends, or sometimes on other idyllic planets, and others were in preparation. The Gardeners of the Souls can be happy.

If one day Mankind also decides to make of its planet a paradise of splendour, to put its increasing power at the service of life, then it is very probable that, on Aeoliah, some Eolis take the path of a deep Forest, to leave their bodies there and return to their ancient planet...

And that day, at last, we shall be grateful for those who know.

And Aurora?

They still have no news of her. Only Milareva says from time to time that everything goes at best, but without giving any precision or date.

And this is the subject of the second book, «Standed on Earth»
